Seasonal changes for Manitoba driving

Tell us whether your winter or summer tires are already mounted on a second set of wheels. Swapping complete wheel assemblies is a different job from removing tires and mounting another set on the same wheels. Booking with that detail lets the shop quote the right work and arrange enough time.

Fitment for daily drivers and performance cars

Wheel diameter alone does not establish fitment. Tire size, wheel width, offset, brake clearance and the vehicle’s setup all matter. Share the specifications before ordering a new set, especially if your car is lowered or uses different sizes at the front and rear.

Balancing, pressure sensors and uneven wear

Tell us about vibration, pressure warnings or unusual wear when arranging installation. Mounting and balancing, TPMS concerns and alignment are related but different jobs. We can discuss which appointment matches the symptoms instead of assuming a new set of tires will address every concern.

Winter tires and the MPI Winter Tire Program

Manitoba Public Insurance finances winter tires and related costs through its Winter Tire Program, with the loan set up by a participating retailer. From October 1, 2026, eligible tires must carry the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol and be designed and marketed solely for winter; all-weather tires no longer qualify. Ask us about participation and check the current rules with MPI before you buy.

Can you change between my winter and summer sets?

Contact us to book a seasonal changeover. Tell us whether both sets are mounted on wheels, and provide the vehicle and tire sizes so we can quote the correct work.

Do you handle staggered wheels and performance fitments?

Yes. Share front and rear sizes and any suspension or brake modifications before booking so the shop can review the setup.

Can you help with a leaking or damaged tire?

Call and describe the damage, pressure loss and tire size. The shop needs to assess the concern and confirm repair or replacement options; not every damaged tire can be repaired.

Do all-weather tires qualify for MPI winter tire financing?

Not from October 1, 2026. MPI now requires tires that show the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol and are marketed solely as winter tires. All-weather, all-season and four-season tires are excluded even if they carry the symbol.
