ECU Tuning
A tune should fit the car it is written for. Garage 46 calibrates for your engine, fuel, modifications and how you drive, then proves the result with logged runs.

What does ECU tuning change?
The engine computer controls fuel delivery, ignition timing, boost and limits. Factory calibrations are conservative so one map works everywhere. A tune adjusts those tables for your specific car, which can add power and improve throttle response and drivability, particularly on turbocharged engines.
Custom calibration, not a generic file
We start by checking the car is healthy, because tuning a car with a weak ignition system, a boost leak or a tired clutch only amplifies the problem. We then calibrate for your fuel and hardware and validate with data logging and road testing, adjusting until the car runs correctly in real conditions.
Tuning for Manitoba conditions
Winnipeg sees enormous temperature swings, and dense cold air changes how a turbocharged engine behaves. A good calibration accounts for that range so the car behaves in January as well as in July. We also discuss fuel quality and what octane your tune will require.

Will a tune void my warranty?
A manufacturer may deny powertrain warranty claims on a tuned car. If your car is under warranty, weigh that before tuning and ask us about your options.
Can I go back to the stock tune?
On most platforms the original calibration can be saved and restored. We confirm this for your car before we begin.
Do I need other upgrades before tuning?
Not always. Many cars benefit from a tune alone. Higher power targets usually need supporting work such as fuel, cooling, clutch and brakes, which we plan with you.
