Everyday Volkswagen maintenance and repair
Most VWs on Winnipeg roads are TSI-powered Jettas, Golfs and Tiguans. Typical work includes oil service to the correct VW specification, coolant leaks from pumps and housings, ignition coils and plugs, and brake service. We use the oil specification your engine requires, which matters on modern TSI engines.
DSG transmissions
Many VWs use a DSG dual-clutch gearbox. Depending on the version, it may need periodic fluid and filter service, and neglect can show up as jerky low-speed engagement. We check which DSG your car has and follow its specific service requirements.
GTI and Golf R performance
The GTI and Golf R are among the most tuneable cars on the road. A calibration can transform them, and upgrades such as intake, intercooler, downpipe, brakes and suspension can be planned together. We build reliable, well-mannered cars rather than chasing a number, and we can source a clean GTI or Golf R if you are still looking.
Before you book
Volkswagen Service & Repair questions.
Is it worth tuning a GTI or Golf R?
For many owners, yes. Turbocharged VW engines respond strongly to a calibration. The best results come from tuning a healthy car and matching the clutch or DSG, cooling and brakes to the new power.
Do DSG transmissions need servicing?
Many versions do, at intervals set by Volkswagen for that gearbox. Check your maintenance schedule, or tell us your model and year and we will confirm what yours needs.
What oil does my Volkswagen need?
VW engines call for oil meeting specific VW approvals, listed in your owner’s manual. Using the correct approved oil matters for engine protection and warranty records.
