What is carbon buildup on Audi engines?
In direct-injection engines, fuel no longer washes over the intake valves, so oil vapour can bake onto them as carbon deposits. Heavy buildup restricts airflow and can cause misfires. The valves are cleaned during a dedicated service.
How often does an S tronic transmission need servicing?
It depends on the transmission and model year, so follow the interval in your maintenance schedule. Rough or hesitant shifting is a reason to have it checked sooner.
