F-150 and truck repair
The F-150 is Canada’s best-selling vehicle, and we see plenty of them. EcoBoost engines are known for cam phaser concerns that can cause a rattle on cold start, while the 5.0 V8 has its own maintenance needs. What causes a rattle on cold start in an EcoBoost F-150?
Cam phasers are a commonly reported cause on some EcoBoost engines, but timing chains and other components can produce similar sounds. A proper diagnosis confirms the source before parts are replaced.
Can you tune a Mustang GT?
Yes. The 5.0 Coyote responds well to calibration with intake and exhaust upgrades, and forced induction for bigger goals. We match brakes, cooling and drivetrain to the power level.
What should I check on a used F-150?
Check for rust, cold-start engine noises, 4x4 operation, transmission behaviour and signs of heavy towing. A pre-purchase inspection on the lift reveals what a test drive cannot.
